Thursday

Pray for Ashley; she is having her central line removed tomorrow.

Gavin O. is having surgery tomorrow to his central line because of his infection. Pray that all goes well.

Prayers for Kate's family:

"Aaron and I are set to meet with the Bone Marrow Transplant team here shortly. We would ask that you would pray for this meeting. For some reason, we typically feel very overwhelmed after them. The reality, the side effects, the possibilities. Pray we would hear what we need to hear to be well informed. However, also pray that our hearts would be guarded from fear, as it is so prevalent in this new journey we are facing. Thank you.

Please pray for Rebekah as she continues to have feeding issues.

Pray for Gavin and his momma.

Tuesday

Pray for Brayden, his counts are pretty low and wasn't able to have his next treatment.

Let's say some extra prayers for Gaines; pray that he doesn't develop pneumonia and that his lungs continue to heal and grow like they should! He needs to get strong!!

Gavin O. is still fighting a bug, remember him.

Grant is having a Cath procedure done today, please pray that all goes well.

Prayers for Kate:

"Please continue to pray, even more as her ability to fight infection drops as a result of the chemo. We celebrate that we have seen some good days despite the chemo, and are hoping for many more.
Pray that Kate will resist any type of infection.
Pray that her bowel movements will be regular, not constipated, not diarrhea. Constipation could cause small tears which could not be able to heal while her counts are down and therefore infection. Diarrhea could cause her skin to break down, and so on.
Continue to pray that the chemo will do exactly what it is intentioned to do.
Pray for her kidneys, liver and hearing.
Pray for absolute healing for Kate."

Prayer for Rebekah:

"Please pray specifically that she will build up some endurance and be able to take all of what she needs from a bottle. The next step is a feeding tube, and we don't want to go that route if we don't have to!"

Continue to pray for Stellan; he will be on his way to Boston soon for another ablation on his heart. He is doing better, though! PTL!!

Prayer request for Reagan from her momma:

"Reagan is having a colonoscopy/endoscopy tomorrow (TODAY!) (12pm CT) to try to finally find a cause to her persistent stomach pains. It's a little more risky doing this on children and she has to be put under anesthesia, so if you could please just keep her in your prayers I would greatly appreciate it!"

Please pray for Abby! She is in the hospital and is very sick.

NEW REQUESTS:

This is John and his wife Denise; he has cancer and they have been told that it can no longer be treated.

This is Bruce; he has a rare blood disease called Myelofibrosis.

Monday, July 27, 2009

Stellan

Please be in prayer for little Stellan today; he is not doing well at all and needs a healing miracle from the Lord.

Father, please touch his little body in the name of Jesus! Lord, we plead Your blood over him and ask for a miracle! Touch his heart and bring it to it's normal rhythm and function. Fill his hospital room with Your presence, and bring healing as only You can do. We trust You, Father!"

Saturday

Be in prayer for Stephanie; she has her big ultrasound appointment on Monday. Pray for a good report, and for peace for Stephanie.

Here are some prayer requests from Avery's family, they have a lot going on right now. Let's pray, and pass on some love and encouragement. (Also, take a few minutes to watch their memorial video of sweet little Avery. Have a tissue handy!)

"Please pray that this (house and job) situation will work itself out. Pray our house will sell quickly...pray we can get somewhat settled before Kaitlyn starts school...pray that we as a family can remain glued together. I am scared, and I feel like I have very little control over things right now."

Brayden is beginning a new round of treatments on Monday, pray for traveling safety, and for comfort during the chemo.

Continue to pray for Isaiah as he fights infection.

Prayer request for Joshua:

"If you want to pray, pray that we would receive a definitive diagnosis from the muscle biopsy and that we would have an idea of what Joshua's future could look like."

Prayer requests for Kate:

"Please pray for her rest, continued urinating (as they watch this very closely), and less nausea and vomiting. Also pray that she will be able to eat some today and find energy for some rehab activities. We need to keep pushing her rehab, even though she is getting her chemo now. We continue to cry out to God to completely and fully heal our daughter. We ask you to do the same. And we pray that His name will be glorified through it."

Lydia is in the hospital with a fever; please pray for a swift recovery with no complications!

Prayer requests for Camryn:

"Please continue to pray for Camryn as there is still a lot that she is dealing with. The loss of her hair was a very significant loss for her, it should start coming back in the next few months...but, it's a slow process. She is also fully aware of what she can and cannot do...what she can and cannot eat, and sometimes all of that is hard for her. Please pray that as we go through out the summer and prepare her for school only very differently than she was planning for that the Lord walks with her."

Please pray for Stellan who is in the hospital with more SVT trouble.

Also continue to pray for Gavin who is home now but still needs prayers.

Reagan is experiencing some new kind of seizures, please pray for her.

FYI: I moved the link to Cora's blog to the "Pregnancy Prayers" list, under Jess's name. Since she is expecting, I thought she would appreciate all the extra prayers for this new little one.

More sad news

As I was browsing more blogs today concerning the "Jonathan White" situation, I came across this article. Here is a quote from the end of the post:

Editor's Note: It is now Thursday, July 23, and this morning I had an e-mail that directed me to the press release released by Idaho law enforcement about a woman named Melissa Rice, who was Jonathan. Unfortunately, this story ended in tragedy. Rice was reported dead on Wednesday afternoon. She obviously was very sick and it's sad that her life has ended this way. I hope she has found peace.

Please make this a matter of prayer, especially for this woman's family and friends, whoever they might be.

P.S. I believe this is why the blog "jonthanjayisafraud" has been changed.

Wednesday

Isaiah is sick again, and back in the hospital. Please pray for him!

Joshua will be having some procedures done at the end of this week; please pray that they go well and that Joshua will be comfortable.

Kate begins chemo treatments tomorrow!

Here is an update on Denise:

"Denise is doing well. She finally made it home and has been getting better each and every day. She goes back to see the "Big" doc on the 28th and also for another CT scan. Prayers would be greatly appreciated in hopes of positive news!"
Let's keep praying for her for a good report!

Hope has a doctor visit today; prayers for all to go well!

Keep praying for Noah E. as he is still dealing with a lot of issues.

Pray for Gavin; he is running a temperature and is headed to the ER.

Update on the Turner Family:

"Trenton had a follow up with the neurologist on Friday. The MRI was clear (no signs of strokes, no tumors, no brain marks from "seizures") and the EEG was normal. They did schedule him for another EEG on Wednesday, July 22nd at 12:45pm. This is a precaution to make sure that it is not epilepsy. Right now his diagnosis is a fainting spell with convulsions. He has done very well the last 2 weeks-only 2"spells" in 2 weeks. Keep your prayers going! We feel them each and every day."

UPDATE:

My friend, Sharee Moore, (Safe Haven guest writer) has welcomed her little girl into the world! Here is a link to her blog and picture of her precious new daughter! Praise God!

Sad

Edit: Here is a news article aboout this situation: .Go here

Pray For Jonathan

After I posted about Jonathan Sunday night, I started searching online to see if I could find out what happened with his blogs. I will admit, my first reactions to the blog disappearing were not positive thoughts. Jaded, I guess?

I ran across a woman's blog, Gena, who was really close friends with Jonathan and his family, and was helping them raise funds and support, and also a cancer survivor herself. Which led me to a Facebook group supporting Jonathan and Gena. I joined the Facebook group, and left a comment about the blogs disappearing, and asking if all was ok. This morning I checked back on the group, and someone left this link. Johnathan, after all, IS a fraud.

I don't really know what I was feeling when I saw this. I couldn't believe it was happening, AGAIN. I'm not going to say much else, because I'm kind of angry right now.

So if you gave anything to "Jonathan", donations, gifts, etc. please visit the link I provided above and follow the instructions for what to do and how to report it. Gena is working with the FBI to build a case and needs your/our help. Thanks for sticking with this prayer blog, even though there are some out there who take advantage of good people.

And, above all else, pray for the ones who were hurt, used, and abused in this situation.

Sunday

Please pray for Tyler's family; he went to be with Jesus today. Father, please be with this family!!!

Here are some requests from Noah E's blog:

"Please pray that he will turn the corner or that the doctors will find a clear path toward helping him get better. Please pray for me as I try to amuse him and keep him happy - he is healthy enough to want to play at times, but sick enough that he is hard to please."

Does anyone have any inforamtion on Jonathan's blog? I went to check it for an update this evening, and it said the blog has been deleted....just wondering if everything is ok with him, if anyone knows. Thanks.

Pray For Jonathan

Here is an update on little Samson from the prayer list:

"I am HAPPY to report that all the testing that they did amounted to nothing AND he has since not had any of the issues/symptoms that led to the xrays in the first place. I would like to thank everyone SO MUCH for their prayers – they worked! He currently has no ongoing concerns that we need prayers for." Praise God!!!

NEW REQUEST:

This is Christian. He had a near drowning accident a few weeks ago and has a severe brain injury from it. My heart aches for this little boy and his family! Please pray for him, for complete healing and restoration!

BLESSED ARE THE POOR IN SPIRIT

By Enid

This mountain you face is not a test of your strength. This is about your confidence in Me. What do you think about Me now, when you face trials of various kinds? This is about your strength being increased in Me. It is really not a test of your own strength, because I know you are just dust, you are just dust. I’m building your confidence in Me when you cannot see. Take that leap of faith, step out on the water. I will never leave you or forsake you.

Why are you trying so hard to be strong My little one, My dove? I never asked for your strength. This isn’t something I require. Do you want to earn My love? Is this why you are trying so hard to be strong? You know there is no earning with Me. You know I am in love with you. Is it so that you can still be in control? You know you have to let it go. You can’t keep things from getting messy. I am strong enough to carry you through anything; you do not need to be afraid.

Or are you just longing to show Me how much you love me? Is this why you are still offering up your own strength to Me? You want to show Me that you will endure hardships like a good soldier, that you will keep the word of My patient endurance, and that you will fellowship with Me in my sufferings. My eyes search for one like this! They search, but oh My dove, My perfect one, where did you go wrong? It’s not in your own strength that you are to do these things to show Me your love; it’s in your clinging, your leaning, and your stepping out onto the water. It’s in how you call My name if you start to sink when you see the violence of the waves. I’ve not asked for your strength! It is I who come leaping upon the mountains. Am I not in you and you in Me? Have I not placed you under My wing? My Right arm is strong, so very strong, but you must LET Me embrace you with it. Let go of your own strength. This is not the offering I desire.

“But oh God, then what can a poor empty handed one do to prove their love? You’ve proven Your love to me by dying! How do I show You that I would do anything for You if my strength isn’t what You want? I have nothing else.”

Do you love Me enough to live in your weakness? Will you walk forward blindly? Are you willing to fail? Do you have the courage to be messy and let Me pull you together? Can you crumble at My feet? I don’t want your strength. I want your weakness. Give Me your love….Oh you who dwell in the gardens with your companions listening for your voice…let me hear it! You’ve been trying to prove you’ll embrace the cross by charging towards it, but right now, I just want you to sit in My shade. You don’t like the mess of your human weakness, My dove, My lovely one, so you convince yourself that it’s noble, that it’s patient endurance to hold in the pain, when I said, “in the secret place of the steep pathway, let Me see your face, let Me hear your voice, for your voice is sweet and your face is lovely”. Your weaknesses may have been rejected by all the others, your strengths demanded, but you know I am not like all the others. What is despised by men I treasure…in your weakest moments, your voice is sweet and your face is lovely! Give me what is Mine, I want it all My dove, My beautiful one. Let me enjoy you however I desire to, even if it is a mystery to you now.

“MY SOUL CLINGS TO YOU, YOUR RIGHT HAND UPHOLDS ME.” Psalm 63:8

Article scripture ref. 2Tim 2:3, Rev 3:10, Phil 3:10, Song 1:15, 2:3, 2:8, 2:14, 8:3, 8:13, Ps 63:7-8

Monday

URGENT REQUESTS:

Avery is having her cath lab procedure done tonight; still no news, and she is still not doing well at all. Please pray for this little one and her momma and daddy!!!

This is from Enid:

"I'd like to ask for urgent prayer for the Monk family. (It's actually in Guatemala, not Honduras) When the case came up Friday, the judge was prepared to release the case, but the orphanage director filed a petition to have the judge excused from the case. If this petition is not thrown out, this issue will go back into a whole new swirl of legal red tape, and she will remain stuck in this orphanage. THE ORPHANAGE DIRECTOR RECEIVES $500 DOLLARS A MONTH FOR HANNAH'S CARE from the Monk family. She is not in a hurry to release the children in her care. They need prayer immediately for justice. We must pray that her petition is thrown out and the same judge keeps the case and signs quickly. This has been going on for over two years now."

Thanks to those of you who left comments about Hope and Jaxson. My next project is to try to fix my Internet Explorer issues so I can view them. I appreciate the updates from you guys.

Sunday updates

Prayer request for Brayden:

"Please pray that his counts quickly rebound and come back up. We're praying he doesn't need the transfusion for several weeks until we are back in Little Rock. We're praying no fevers or secondary infections show up and he stays healthy enough to make it without incident to the next round of treatment. Thank you all again for everything."

I am still having trouble loading Hope's blog, and now also Jaxson's blog. Can someone let me know if there are any urgent needs? Thank you!

Keep praying for Noah E. as he continues to battle an infection in his central line.

Evan might be able to go home tomorrow; pray!!!

URGENT: Avery is very sick; she is still retaining lots of fluid and is not urinating. She is having a procedure done today to help with this. Please pray for this little girl!

Update on the Turner family:

"Trenton had his EEG & MRI Tuesday. We do not know the results yet but he is scheduled for a follow up with the neurologist next Friday the 17th. We will know more then. He made it just fine through the MRI and had NO seizures in the EEG which is a good sign! However, he did have a seizure today but this is the first one in 13 days. Keep praying---it's working!"

Update on Stella:

"Thank you all for prayers for my baby Stella. We just got home from the hospital and her surgery went fine and she came out of anesthesia very easily. She never even cried. It was harder on me than on her! Thank you again for the prayers - I appreciate it so much.
Stacey"

NEW REQUESTS:

This request was left as an anonymous comment on Friday:

"My son is friends with this young man and is devistated over the current events. This young man was involved in a horrific crash that killed his father. He does not know of his dad's passing yet due to his own injuries. I am hoping we can get as many people as possible to pray for this young man and his family. They truly need all the prayers they can get. Jack is a wonderful young man!"

This is Jack's website; let's pray!

Wednesday

Remember Stella who is having her tongue clipped tomorrow.

Remember the Pifer's as they go to the infertility clinic for their first appointment on Friday!

Prayer requests from Ella's mom:

"Please pray that we will find favor in our final appeal process to have the ACTH covered by our insurance. Pray specifically for the insurance plan administrator at the bank where Chris works. Pray that our neurologist would be willing to write a letter demonstrating Ella's need for and improvement on ACTH."

Gaines will be traveling home tonight. Please pray for safe travel!!!

Please pray for Kate and her parents; they received a diagnosis on her tumor today, and they have a long road ahead of them.

NEW REQUESTS:

This request was left by Enid:

"The Monk family adopted a baby named Hannah from Honduras 2 1/2 years ago when she was 6 months. The country still has not allowed her to leave even though the adoption has been final for all this time. This Friday, July 10th her case goes to court again. All they need is for a judge to sign a piece of paper releasing her, but every other time her case came up something went wrong, costing this family thousands of dollars and months and months more of waiting, with this poor child living in an orphanage instead of with her loving family during her formative years. I'm asking for prayer like the widow to the unjust judge, except we, the elect...to the righteous judge of the universe who LOVES to bring forth justice speedily to us when we cry out to Him for it! I want to see Hannah come home, speedily!"

This family lost their precious little man, Gage, yesterday. I'm not sure of all the details, I haven't been able to read much of their blog. Just please pray for his parents at this time.

New requests

This is the Weeks family. They lost their first baby girl, Chloe, last year. Then on Thursday, July 2nd, they lost their second baby girl, Hope. Please pray for this couple as they go through a second time of loss.

And Stacey left this request for her daughter:

"My daughter Stella is 2 and is having surgery on Thursday. She is tongue tied and having her tongue clipped. The name of the procedure in a lingual frenuloplasty. It is a very simple procedure that only takes a few minutes but as mom I'm scared of my baby being put to sleep and would love to have her be covered in prayer this week and on the day of her surgery. I have no blog to link to but appreciate any prayers! Thanks!"

Let's cover these two new ones!

I've seen lots of prayer requests around other blogs for this little girl,
Kate, and also a comment was left on Safe Haven to pray for her. Let's add her to our prayers!!!

What do you think about Me now?

By Enid

Post taken from Preserving A Generation blog.

What do you think of Me when you fall into trials of various kinds? What do you think about Me when your prayer doesn’t seem answered? What do you think about Me when you can’t seem to overcome depression though you fast and pray and fight and fight? What do you think about Me when your closest friend has forsaken you, when your father has abandoned you? What do you think about Me when you’re still single after so many years? What do you think of Me when you’ve lost your job? How about when you couldn’t raise support or the mission field didn’t work out and you felt like a failure? What do you think about Me when your pastor was exposed of secret sins? What do you think about Me when the people you most loved and trusted were the ones who hurt you? What do you think about Me when your adoption doesn’t go through? What do you think about Me when your baby doesn’t live? When your spouse abandons you? What do you think about Me when you just faithfully press on and on no matter what, it just gets dryer and dryer, colder and colder; now what are your thoughts about Me?

I’ll tell you what I think about you…

You are the ones I was dreaming about before the foundations of the earth were laid. My dance over you began when you said, ‘yes’ to Me, when you first said my Name, and I am singing over you even now. My song is about that place in your heart that never gives up, that never forgets, no matter how hot the flame, no matter how fiery the trial. As My eyes search the earth I see you standing at the foot of that mountain, you are so small in comparison. You continue to say yes to Me, although you have no human ability to endure these things. All you have is Me. Oh how you move Me!! I know you are dust, I know you are looking through a glass darkly. Don’t you understand how much it means to Me when you choose to love Me, the One who you cannot see?! I know that you cannot see Me, yet you love Me! OH MY BEAUTIFUL ONES!!! Believe Me when I say, you move My heart by just choosing to love Me in the trials. You could’ve walked away when you saw the mountain, you could’ve given up when I didn’t come immediately, but I choose to try your love, TO MAKE IT MORE VALUABLE! Because I knew you’d come forth as gold. You may not realize it because you sometimes feel weary, but you’ve never given up. I count this as faithfulness. I credit this to you as faithfulness. This is what I think about you, My small ones, standing at the foot of that mountain. I see, I hear, and I know. Not one single sigh has escaped My notice. I promise, I promise, we WILL leap upon this mountain together, though I tarry, I will come!

“They that wait upon the Lord will renew their strength, they will mount up with wings like eagles, they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not faint.” Isaiah 40:31

Thank You

I just want to say thank you to Christy for starting this blog and allowing me to help with it. Christy, you are an amazing woman of God! It's hard to keep up with a blog period, but you have kept everyone updated on all these children, babies, moms, and dads that need prayer. You're an awesome person, and I just wanted to take a minute to say thank you for all you are doing and all you have done.

Thanks,

New Request

My friend Shelly works with Claudia. Please pray hard for little Alex and his mommy today.

"The sweet baby boy, Alex, was born at 25 1/2 weeks. He's still fighting but odds of course are against him. Claudia had to have an emergency c-section and they had a few complicatins. They could use all the prayer they can get. "

Thank you
